A year ago today Lincoln met his niece Embree for the first time. He'd just gotten off a plane from Japan and was exhausted. He asked me why I was taking pictures and I told him that one day he'd want to remember the first time he held his niece.
Today was my "I told you so."
This also marks his 1 year anniversary of being in the states consecutively. After his leave at home he road tripped to California where he's been stationed ever since. It's a nice anniversary to celebrate :)
I LOVE that second picture of my SIL with that sweet baby :-) Love it.
ReplyDeleteI meant to tell you this awhile back, but I showed this post to Embree (I was crying a little btw - such a sweet post!). I asked her who was holding her in the pics, and she said, "That's my Daddy with blue eyes". Very matter-of-factly. I guess they really do look alike;)
