Wasting Time

So it's late, and I haven't posted for today yet...soooo here's a filler so I can have more time and devotion to post about the apron I just finished.

These are called birds of paradise. They are everywhere here in California and when they're fresh and bright they are fantastic and the most intriguing plant I've ever seen. They straight up look like birds. But once they peak and their petals start to wilt, they're just kinda sad...like an old bird molting. I think this one classifies as a mature adult. Got a few age spots going on. You can see some "gray hairs" in the back. But all in all, beautiful flower.

Title taken from Dave Matthews Band's song "Stay"
