When I Say I Do

2 years ago today my friend Allison's sister Rachel got married. Today she is getting her wisdom teeth out but I thought I would commemorate the day with this picture. The title was their first dance song, good stuff. It's not very often that I'm in front of the camera...it's even rarer that I'll tolerate the picture that was taken.

This picture was edited once upon a time...I don't remember what exactly I did but I think it involved opening Allison's eyes and removing a card from under my dress shoulder strap.

Allison came and spent a week here in sunny California for her spring break and over the past week has inspired most of my posts. Now that she's gone back to reality so have I...which is quite uneventful. Since Lincoln is 100% (by military standards) not deploying in August and we'll be here another year and a half (again, military standards) I've opened up to the idea of finding a job. Ideally I would like to get a job working with kids in some way. Had looked into being an assistant or working at a daycare.

I learned quickly that apparently in California you have to take a certain number of classes to be qualified to work with children in any form. So either I figure out how to do that or go back to the drawing board and keep looking. There's no extreme hurry, just something to get me out of the apartment and prevent me from becoming a full blown hermit.
